Behind the Scenes of Our Design and Crafting Process
"Diamond" (from Ancient Greek: ἀδάμας; French and German: Diamant; Russian: Алмаз) – also known as "Jīngāngshí" – is a mineral composed of carbon atoms, a crystalline form of carbon, and one of the most precious gemstones found on Earth. In chemical and industrial applications, it is referred to as "Jīngāngshí" in Mandarin Chinese.Only a few high-quality crystals are classified as "diamonds." As a crystal made of carbon, diamonds represent the hardest natural substance known on Earth, with unmatched durability. It is one of the raw materials for highly valued minerals.
The History of Taiwan's Mineral Resources
Taiwan's mineral resources include both metallic and non-metallic minerals. Geologically, Taiwan can be divided into three major zones: the volcanic regions of Datun Mountain and the Keelung Volcanic Group in northern Taiwan are rich in gold, copper, and sulfur; the Western Foothill Belt, located south of the northern volcanic region, contains sedimentary rocks rich in coal, sand, gravel, and clay; and the Central Mountain Range, characterized by metamorphic rocks, is home to marble, asbestos, and nephrite.Due to the absence of active volcanoes in Taiwan, the geological features do not support the formation of Kimberlite rock.As a result, 99% of valuable minerals are sourced from overseas.
Patience, Expertise, and Precision: The Diamond Industry
The diamond industry demands a high level of professional expertise, patience, and attention to detail. In recent years, particularly during the pandemic, the economic environment in the diamond industry has undergone significant changes. Much like how climate change affects the environment, these shifts impact our daily lives. The diamond industry is also undergoing major transformations, with changes in business models and industry practices. In this sector, the processes of evaluation and design have become increasingly crucial. We are committed to using innovative techniques and services to create exquisite designs, listen to customer needs, and contribute to the art market, and the diamond and art sector.
