The company’s turnover grew rapidly, with a sharp increase in the number of clients. Just as we were ascending step by step, a massive earthquake struck Japan, halting all business operations. Nationwide, Japan shifted its focus entirely to disaster relief and recovery, causing our revenues to drop significantly and forcing us to close our Tokyo branch.
That same year, the 3/11 earthquake in Miyagi triggered a devastating tsunami, causing seawater to flood the Sendai region. Our Japanese colleague, Mr. Fukuji, tragically lost his life while trying to save his hometown and prevent nuclear radiation leakage.
The company was left with no choice but to redirect resources back to Taiwan. We brought the expertise and experience gained in Japan home, continuing to refine our operations while rebuilding our customer base and seeking new regional suppliers.
